Hi there! We did finally get the wheelchair... it took 11 weeks from the time the salesman measured him to the time he got the chair. But boy, it sure is great and taking ramps sure got a little safer. Well, a little... ;)

Thanks so much for all of your help and advice.

Hi. I can't figure out when you posted this, but you probably found a wheelchair by now. But I'm gonna go ahead and let you or any other reader know that occupational therapists are the experts in wheelchair. The wheelchair companies may make recommendations like crazy but nothing like a good occupational therapist. They will look at the client's activities and functions and make the recommendation for every part of the chair. An OT will even write you a letter of medical necessity for your insurance company to cover the expense of the chair. Hope this helps someone!
God bless!

Thank you so much for making that comparison. I'm trying to help my boyfriend shop for a wheelchair right now and I'm completely horrified by the lack of help available. This is quite possibly the most frustrating thing I've ever tried to do.
