I had a spinal tap done also
Here is my story of how it went
My daughter came with me to my appointment, she has been a big help and has supported me through all my doctors appointments
we arrive at the hospital and was escorted into a small room where the neurologist and his assistant were I was seated on a table and was asked to bend right over, my daughter was seated on a small stool. In the middle of the proceger I seen the nurse out of the corner of my eye rushing over to my daughter I looked at Natasha and her eyes were rolling into the back of her head and then the next minute she was on the ground, the nurse took her out of the room mean while because I am over weight the neurologist was unable to get a sample he then booked me into having it done via a MRI machine. We had to wait at the hospital for a few hours so we decided we would pass some time and go and get something to eat and drink, as we were about to go the red light in the nurses station went of there was a suspected fire somewhere in the hospital so we had to stay put ,after some time the fire alert was over a false alarm ,by that time though it was time to go and have the spinal tap done so off I went to have that done, I was wheel back into the nurses station where I was told I had to lay still for four hours. So my 1 hour appointment ended up being 6 hours. Oh I forgot to say after the first attempt I walked back into the nurses station to see my daughter having biscuits and a cup of tea sitting in a nice comfy chair ,I was offered a stool ........... go figure lol
